Leonardo AI, founded in 2022, is a leading generative AI platform specialising in the rapid creation of visual content. Their Sydney workspace reflects their cutting-edge technology, featuring purple drop lighting, a sleek bar area and recreational elements such as a pool table.
The Challenge
Indoor Plant Solutions was asked to introduce greenery into this modern, high-tech environment, balancing innovation and natural elements. The challenge was seamlessly integrating plants into a workspace that prioritises aesthetics, functionality and a unique futuristic ambience. Spanning two levels, the project required a tailored approach to complement Leonardo AI’s contemporary design while ensuring safety, durability, and ease of maintenance.
Our Solution
To meet Leonardo AI’s vision, our team carefully selected plant varieties and pots/containers to enhance the space without disrupting its sleek, modern feel. Our cement pots offer the most modern aesthetic and complement the existing design elements, including the bar’s cement flooring and concrete accents. Their neutral colours perfectly matched the space’s palette, making them a great fit visually and stylistically. We installed a combination of floor pots, desktop troughs, modular walls and hanging planters to create a layered and immersive green atmosphere.
Key Design Considerations:
- Structural Safety: The team had to pay special attention to safety measures because of the workplace layout. Indoor Plant Solutions used high-strength crimping loops for all hanging installations instead of standard chains for maximum durability and stability for the suspended plants. We also carefully assessed the weight of the baskets and the plants to determine the most secure and effective hanging method. Choosing crimping loops ensured the installations could support the load without compromising safety or longevity. The team also followed strict safety protocols, including using ladders with spotters to prevent any risks during installation.
- Adaptability & Client Satisfaction: One of the primary challenges was the hanging baskets. Initially, the client felt they were positioned too low, so the team had to make multiple adjustments. We remained committed to our Satisfaction Guarantee, working closely with Leonardo AI to refine the placement until the perfect height was achieved for functionality and aesthetic appeal.

To maintain the vibrant, futuristic energy of the space while introducing a textured green element, our team selected a mix of Devil’s Ivy, Neon Pothos, and Hedera Canariensis (Algerian Ivy). This layered ivy selection was chosen to bring movement, colour variation and a visually dynamic effect to the wall, aligning perfectly with the brand’s creative, ever-evolving identity.
